This policy explains what personal data we process when you visit sakay.eu and when you shop in the Sakay store. Effective from 17 October 2026.

Visitor statistics
We measure traffic with our own Matomo instance (counter.gisland.eu), without cookies and with anonymised IP addresses. The data does not leave our server and is not shared with third parties; it only tells us which articles people read. The legal basis is our legitimate interest.
Advertising (Google AdSense)
Our articles show ads from Google AdSense (Google Ireland Limited). Google may use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads. Visitors from the EU first see a consent message from Google; personalised ads are shown only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time through the same message (Google’s “Privacy settings” link or icon). How Google processes data is described at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. There are no ads on the home page or in the shop.
Technical services
- Cloudflare protects the site from attacks and speeds up loading, so it processes your IP address and technical request data on every visit.
- Images are delivered by Jetpack (Automattic) via i0.wp.com, and some libraries (Bootstrap) load from cdn.jsdelivr.net; these services see your IP address.
- The site sets no tracking cookies of its own. Technically necessary cookies (e.g. cart or login) are set only when you use the shop.
Shop and orders
If you create a customer account or place an order, we process the data needed to fulfil it: name, address, e-mail, phone and order details. The legal basis is performance of a contract, and for accounting and tax records a legal obligation. We share data only with those involved in fulfilling the order: payment gateways (Stripe, Revolut), which process the payment (we never see card details), and the carrier Packeta (Zásilkovna). We keep the data for as long as your account exists and beyond that only as long as the law requires.
If you write to us, we use your e-mail address and message only to reply and handle your request.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify or erase your data, to restrict processing, to data portability and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. You can withdraw any consent at any time. Just write to [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Czech data protection authority, the Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů.
